What if my claim fails?
You will not have to pay us, but you may have to pay the costs of the other party and any disbursements.
Am I eligible to claim compensation?
If you have suffered an injury which has occurred in the last 3 years and was not your fault you may be entitled to compensation.
You may be entitled to claim even if the accident/injury occurred more than 3 years ago.
If the accident/injury occurred when you were a minor i.e. under the age of 18 you have until you are 21 to register your claim.
How much compensation am I likely to get?
Your compensation award will depend upon the extent of your injuries, your loss of earnings and any other expenses.
Do I need to pay my Solicitors to make a claim?No. You receive 100% of the compensation awarded and it will not cost you anything if you lose, provided you have provided full instructions and dealt with all matters as when requested.
Who will handle my case?We will deal with the day to day running of your file, we are not a Claims company.
Will I need to go to court?Only a fraction of all cases every go to Court, only 5% do but we will advise you...
What is the difference between Solicitors practice and a claims company?A Solicitors practice employ qualified Solicitors and are regulated by the Law Society and the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Claims companies are not regulated and act as middlemen, not actually handling the claims themselves.
What is 'no win - no fee'?A term used to indicate that there is no fee to pay whether you lose or win your claim and this arrangement is made by written an agreement between your lawyer and yourself and drawn up in accordance with Law Society rules. It is known as a Conditional Fee Agreement and although it protects you in respect of your own legal costs you will be required to take out insurance to cover the costs you will have to pay to your opponent if you lose.
What is a disbursement?Disbursements are the money which is paid to others for court fees, fees for medical or other expert reports.
