Criminal Prosecutions

There has been a recent increase in criminal prosecutions following Health and Safety Executive investigations into work related accidents and recent legislation in relation to Corporate Manslaughter as resulted in some individuals receiving custodial sentences where their have been serious health and safety failures.

Fatal Accident Inquiries

If you receive notification in relation to a Fatal Accident Inquiry where you are told your attendance is required or that you can be represented, please let us know as soon as possible so we can make the necessary arrangements and enquiries on your behalf.

This is very important as there is a possibility that depending on the result of the Fatal Accident Inquiry, civil or criminal court proceedings may be taken against you. We would recommend that you should be represented.
